Yihang Yan is a first year Master of Science candidate in Computational Science and Engineering. She originally came from China, spent two years in Singapore during her high school, and stayed in Atlanta for the past five years before coming to Harvard. Benefitting from a wide variety of professional experiences from strategy consulting and startups to analytics and enterprise software, she has become a strong team player, a capable leader, and an innovator with differentiated perspective. Previously, Yihang has worked as a data engineer at Dell and a software consultant at VMware. She has also served as a Resident Advisor for three years to advise college students regarding personal development, academic excellence, and community involvement. Yihang holds a BS in Industrial and System Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and is currently pursuing her master degree at SEAS, where she aspires to explore and analyze big data to uncover insights that enable effective decisions and address pressing challenges. She is also a Chinese instrument enthusiast with 12-year performance experience.
