An industrial and systems engineering graduate of the University of Oklahoma, TJ is currently an MBA Candidate at Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, he spent three years working in the San Francisco Bay Area, most recently as an Investment Associate at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation. TJ enjoyed his role at KFF, as it allowed him to learn a great deal about the world through evaluating investment opportunities, while also contributing to the growth and sustainability of a charitable organization. He would like to continue working in a position that enables him to learn as much as possible while helping to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. TJ is living in Boston with his wife, Taylor. In his free time, he may be found playing team sports of any kind, eating ice cream, exercising, reading books, daydreaming about travel, and always seeking to find balance in his life. His favorite TED Talk topics include: effective altruism, economic inequality, education, civil rights, and behavioral economics.
