Tim Leach is a first year MBA student at the Harvard Business School. Tim grew up in Melbourne, Australia and graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce. He majored in Mechanical Engineering and Finance. At Monash he also completed a Diploma of Modern Languages in French and is a passionate Francophile. After graduating Tim worked for Exxon Mobil in their sub-surface engineering division before joining the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At BCG Tim worked on a variety of projects across retail, banking, education and industrial goods. He focussed in particular on cost optimization initiatives for large mining projects working on engagements in Australia, Russia, Asia and Canada. Tim has also worked at the Cape York Institute in remote northern Australia where he helped to establish an education start-up focussed on tackling education disadvantage among Indigenous communities. Tim is passionate about travelling, photography and yoga.
