Tay Boyd is a first-year MD candidate at Harvard Medical School. Her current studies and community engagement are inspired by her desire to improve patient health outcomes both locally and globally through clinical research and improved health and medical education. Tay is primarily interested in cardiology and family medicine and is beyond excited to begin her new research project with the Health Disparities Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital this year. Before beginning medical school, Tay earned her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from the University of Washington and spent the following year in South Korea as a Fulbright Fellow. Outside of medicine and community health projects, Tay greatly enjoys singing, baking, writing poetry and painting with watercolors.
