Silvia Mejia is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School. Her research interests lie at the intersection of religion, racial justice and prison reform. Silvia was raised in Miami and graduated from Emory University with a BA in religion and a minor in sociology. During her time at Emory she was a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow and conducted research in El Salvador and South Africa. In Boston, she has worked with several non-profit organizations that work on racial justice and advocacy. In the future she hopes to work with prison education programs. In her free time Silvia enjoys running and drawing.
