Jay Bhatt is a Masters in Public Administration Candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School and a Commonwealth Fund Minority Health Policy Fellow at Harvard Medical School. In addition to heath policy Jay focuses on community empowerment, public narrative, and health in the context of politics. He is a physician in internal medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance, a safety-net institution. During medical school he was a legislative fellow for Congresswoman Donna Christensen and National President for the American Medical Student Association. Jay is interested in innovation in community health delivery and chronic disease management/prevention. Locally he has started a dance inspires health initiative. Jay received both his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his Master in Public Health degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Public Health. He is from Chicago and holds an Economics degree from the University of Chicago. He is a Zuckerman Fellow alum and served on the Student Advisory Board in 2009-2010. He looks forward to helping the CPL SAB further innovate leadership initiatives and helping Kennedy School students leave with a sense of confidence and humility in exercising leadership across the public sector.
