Ivan Salas Orono is an MBA candidate at the Harvard Business School expecting to graduate in May 2017. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ivan moved to the United States in 2005 and received a degree in Finance from the University of Maryland. After school, Ivan worked as an Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s real estate investment banking and private equity teams in New York. In 2012, He moved to Miami where he worked as a Development and Acquisitions Manager for Starwood Hotels’ Latin American Division. This summer, Ivan interned as VP of Strategic Partnerships at PlacePass, an early-stage travel tech startup, where he oversaw all efforts to create partnerships with hotels, airlines, travel publications and others. An avid rugby fan, Ivan is co-president of HBS Rugby Football Club. In his free time, he takes improv and stand-up comedy classes.
