Imarhia Enogieru is a medical degree candidate in her first year at Harvard Medical School with an interest in preventative health, patient engagement and coordination of care in the medical system. She was born and raised in Miramar, Florida and graduated high school with a certificate of completion of licensed practical nursing, spending two years caring for patients in hospitals and nursing homes. This experience strengthened her want to become a compassionate physician, who incorporates patients’ needs into the medical treatment process. With this in mind, she studied biological chemistry at the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and taking an interdisciplinary approach to her degree with biology, chemistry, literature and psychology courses. She is eager to use her time in HGSLI to further develop her leadership skills and contribute her unique perspective and experiences to the HGSLI experience.
