Greg Larson

Greg LarsonGreg Larson is a 2013 Master in Public Policy candidate at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He spent the previous five years directing a small nonprofit that builds high schools in South Sudan, established by author Dave Eggers and Valentino Achak Deng after the publication of Eggers’s book What Is the What, which tells the story of Deng’s life as a refugee during Sudan’s civil war. After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in English, Greg worked on editorial and writing projects for McSweeney’s Publishing; when McSweeney’s published What Is the What, Greg took the opportunity to transition from editing and to help establish the South Sudan education nonprofit. This inspired him to further his education in international development at the Kennedy School, where he is a recipient of the Public Service Fellowship.
