Emily McWilliams is a doctoral student in the philosophy department, working primarily on issues in epistemology and feminist philosophy. She received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, where she triple majored in philosophy, psychology, and linguistics.
After college, she received a fellowship through Princeton in Asia, which gave her the opportunity to spend two years living and working in the southern part of Vietnam. She spent her first year there teaching at Kiên Giang Community College in Rạch Giá, and her second year working for the Research Center for Rural Development at An Giang University. Emily returned to the U.S. For graduate school in 2008, but she continues to enjoy traveling whenever she has the opportunity. When she has free time in Boston, Emily likes to run, and take in new parts of the city. And she loves to dance.
