Danny is a first-year MD candidate at Harvard Medical School with a strong interest in oncology, health care accessibility, and health care policy. Born in Philadelphia, Danny grew up in a military family, and spent his childhood in various places, including Pennsylvania, California, Japan, and Arizona. Living in Japan was particularly eye-opening for him, and sparked his interest in learning about other cultures. He attended the University of Arizona where he majored in Physiology with minors in Spanish and Japanese. Initially a pre-dental student, an experience with cancer at the age of 20 exposed him to incredible doctors and an unorganized medical system, and drove him to pursue a career in medicine. In his free time, Danny competes in collegiate ballroom dancing, and loves to exercise and cook.
