Born in Lagos, Christine Onyung has lived and/or worked in Africa, Europe, and now in the United States. She is a dual MBA/MPA student at Wharton School and Harvard Kennedy School. Before graduate school, she worked in asset management and worked on Wall Street during the financial crisis. She is interested in the “double bottom line”, through which private capital not only generates financial returns but also has positive social impact. More specifically, she is passionate about the education space and worked at a community development financial institution this past summer in its K-12 Education group. Christine is also currently taking Education Finance courses at Harvard. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and running. She ran the New York Marathon in 2015 and the Philadelphia Marathon in 2016. She also enjoys foreign films, singing karaoke, and spending quality time with close family and friends. Christine holds a BA in Economics and French from the University of Pennsylvania.
