Ankit is a first year MBA student at Harvard Business School. He grew up in Jaipur, a town in western India and graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he worked as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Mumbai office for almost two years; advising and working with clients from manufacturing, telecom and consumer goods on operational transformation, people enablement, change management, reorganization and strategy. He then attempted to do a startup to create an online and offline merchandizing house for handmade crafts from India, for both domestic and international markets. Right before coming to HBS, he was working with Pratham for a year, a large scale nonprofit working to improve educational quality in India. There he helped design monitoring, measurement & evaluation systems for several large scale programs and was closely involved in designing & implementation of the projects. He is passionate about education and is exploring possible convergence of business, government and sustainable practices for a large scale change. He loves watching movies and swimming.
