Andrew Sullivan, HGSE

Andrew is pursuing his masters degree at the Graduate School of Education in the field of Education Policy and Management.
Andrew grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Yale University in 2005 with a BA in History. Fulfilling a lifelong dream of being in the classroom, he became a 4th grade teacher in San Jose, CA through Teach for America. After two years, Andrew moved to New Orleans as a founding teacher at Langston Hughes Academy, where he taught 4th grade reading and 7th grade social studies. He eventually became Assistant Principal at LHA, before moving to Samuel J. Green Charter School (RISE Up!) as an AP and then Principal of the middle school. Andrew is interested in gaining a wider perspective and on the American education landscape before rejoining the fight to provide high quality public education for all students. Andrew is also a diehard soccer fan, watching Tottenham and the USMNT any chance he gets. He also enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and skydiving any chance he gets.
