Alfatah Moore is Master’s candidate in the Education Policy and Management Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Before arriving at HGSE, Alfatah founded Acelin Learning Solutions, an education company that provides literacy and intervention services to schools in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Alfatah is passionate about improving the mechanisms of support for students with learning disabilities and helping school systems eliminate inequity in educational outcomes for students of color and students with low socioeconomic status. His research interests include literacy and developmental neuroscience, shaping culture within schools, and the reproduction of social inequity in education.
When his nose is not nestled in a book, Alfatah enjoys freelance writing and traveling. His favorite destination is Clearwater beach near his hometown in central Florida. Alfatah holds a BA in Justice, as well as a Master of Science in Justice, Law and Society, from the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C.
