Alex Teece is an M.Ed. candidate in the School Leadership Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Zuckerman Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2008, Alex joined Teach For America and moved to Hawai’i; he has been there on and off ever since. Currently he is the co-founder of a non-profit and the founding school director for a charter school that he and a team of Hawai’i-based educators is building on the island of O’ahu. Alex’s past experience includes a blend of business and education, from investment banking to teaching 7th grade English; he graduated with his MBA in 2012 and enjoys helping friends with new ventures, traveling, and being outside.
