Alex Hahn is pursuing his D.M.D. degree at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He enjoys the everyday impact a smile can have in improving an individual’s quality of life, and is currently focused on pursuing oral surgery or prosthodontics. Alex has been heavily involved in quantum chemical research – in academia and industrial R&D. He received the Barry M. Goldwater scholarship for suggesting the improvement of synthesizing cancer drugs using quantum mechanical methods (during which, he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellow). He also received an internship at Procter & Gamble (P&G) to gain an understanding of consumer goods research. Currently, Alex is performing immunological quantum research in a joint project with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School. For fun, Alex enjoys dance (tap/ballet), and just jamming out on his guitar (especially to Fleetwood Mac!).
