Adeel is a Master of Theological Studies candidate at the Harvard Divinity School, with a concentration in Islamic Studies. Born and raised outside of Los Angeles, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with degrees in biology and religious studies, along with minors in economics and Middle Eastern studies. White at USC, Adeel was involved with Muslim student organizations and served as the RA on ‘the Muslim Floor’ for three years. Having spent time studying the classical Islamic sciences both in the US and abroad, Adeel is interested in understanding the role of the classical Islamic sciences in modern Muslim life and thought, particularly in the United States. With a special interest in Islamic Law, he plans to pursue a J.D. in the near future.
