Abhishek Raman is a Master of Divinity candidate at Harvard Divinity School where he concentrates in business ethics. His interest in understanding the role of business enterprises in promoting social change inspired him to attend Divinity school to acquire a holistic understanding of social change that goes beyond the necessary skill-set of a nonprofit manager. Before graduate school, Abhishek served as an Engagements Manager at Interfaith Youth Core, a social enterprise in Chicago where he executed strategy consulting engagements in the higher education sector. Before his consulting role, Abhishek worked with the U.S. Department of State to implement federally-funded grants to promote interfaith youth social action projects globally. Abhishek’s time spent in Massachusetts while getting his B.A. from Clark University qualified him to become a life-long fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. However, he reluctantly fell in love with Chicago when he moved there in 2009 and considers the city to be his adopted hometown. Abhishek is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers network, StartingBloc Fellows, and the New Leaders Council. He is a budding connoisseur of local coffee shops and breakfast sandwiches.
